Germaine Auffrey of Pré-d'en-Haut passed away at Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital on Thursday September 4, 2008 at the age of 84 after a brief illness.

Born on June 13, 1924 in Pré-d'en-Haut, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Auffrey and the late Hermance Gaudet. She worked at Marven and Moncton City Hospital until her retirement. She was a member of the Golden Age Club of Pré-d'en-Haut.

She is survived by five sisters; Alva Auffrey, Aline (late Melas) Richard and Ella Auffrey all of Pre-D'en-Haut, Edna (late Lorenzo) Leger of Moncton and Marie (Camille) Bourgeois of Belliveau Village; one brother, Francis (Marie) Auffrey of Gardner, Mass, two sister-in-laws, Annette Auffrey of Dieppe and Eva Auffrey of Pré-d'en-Haut and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Flora and Baby Anita and by four brothers Walter, Alban, Freddie and Baby Henri.

Visitations will be held at Dupuis Funeral Home with the Funeral mass to be held at Notre Dame de l'Annonciation RC church, Pré-d'en-Haut. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
